Case Studies

Understand more about how we assist the community.

Mrs K applied for Personal Independence Payment. She received the form and filled it in, however the Department for Work and Pensions refused the claim. She requested a mandatory reconsideration, but the decision did not change. We helped with the appeal and submitted further evidence and a submission. The client then received a hearing date. We received a call in the morning of the hearing date and was told the decision had been reversed. The client did not need to attend the hearing. The client was awarded the enhanced rate for Daily Living and Mobility. The award was backdated, and Mrs K received £10,857.90 as a lump sum. Her weekly rate for Personal Independence  Payment was £156.90 per week.
